The 30th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian Division of the IAP Darling Harbour, Sydney, 3, 4, 5 June, 2005
|
Well everyone, its April, about to be May, and June is just around the corner. It’s 2005. The Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian Division of the IAP, after a year of not being annual, is returning to Darling Harbour. So, is everything ready? Have you registered yet? Have you prepared your cases for the companion meetings? Have you organised your friends to have a table together at the dinner? Have you heard about the speakers? Saturday is David Weedon. Say no more? Well, just that this will be a historical highlight of IAP meetings. And an Australian speaker! Sunday is Jennifer Hunt. Her courses at International IAP and USCAP meetings have constantly been some of the most heavily attended and well received of all the courses. And a special treat on Friday: Even if you cannot attend during the day on Friday, try and make it to the keynote lecture when Henry Tazelaar from the Mayo will show you why you should be, and finally make you excited about quality programmes. Then stay around for his talk on respiratory pathology. Then stay for the cocktail party. And don’t forget to organize your table for the dinner on Saturday. Warick Delprado, President.

Invitation On behalf of the organizing Committee of the Fourth Asia-Pacific IAP Meeting, we would like to invite you to China to participate in this important and exciting event for pathologists from the Asia Pacific region and beyond. We are certain that these few days would prove to be unforgettable and rewarding. We have prepared an exciting academic program, an enjoyable meeting environment and pleasant activities for social interactions. The main theme of the meeting is “Modern Pathology in the Age of Rapidly Advancing Technology”. A number of special topics have been added to the traditional flavor of the program. These include special sessions on emerging human infectious diseases, such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), telepathology, advanced diagnostic technologies, standardization of molecular testing, pathology of iatrogenic lesions, just to name a few. Beijing is the capital of China and one of the most well known cities
in the world with extensive historic preservations and restorations to
visit and plenty of entertainment to enjoy. In preparation for the nation’s
first Olympic Games in 2008, the city has been going through a face-lift
for the past 5 years. The Meeting will provide a unique opportunity for
you to visit the city and experience the fast changing pace of the nation. Yours sincerely, The person to contact for assistance is |
